After my miscarriage, I lived in the isolating silence of performing "okayness" while feeling completely pulled under the moment I was alone. I was functioning, but I wasn't truly living. I felt like a ghost of a shell, terrified that the waves of grief would consume me if I let my guard down for even a second.
I realised I couldn't simply think my way back to my self. I had to rebuild my foundations from the ground up, combining the structure I knew as a designer with the gentle body practices I taught through yoga. It was then I understood that feeling overwhelmed wasn't a sign I was failing. It was the natural response to carrying a weight that was never meant to be held perfectly or alone.
Today, as a pregnancy & baby loss grief coach, I walk beside other mothers as a guide through The becoming pathway. I created these eight anchor cards and this guide to give you the manageable, low-pressure first step I wish I had.
